About Wells Tuition

Wells Tuition began simply — one tutor, a passion for science and maths, and a belief that the right support at the right time can change a student's trajectory. After working with over 50 students from GCSE through to A-Level, it became clear that great tuition shouldn't be hard to find.

That's why Wells Tuition is growing. We're bringing together the best local tutoring talent from in and around Tunbridge Wells — people who know this community, understand local schools, and are invested in the students they teach. How do sessions work?
Sessions are 55 minutes, either in-person at your home (within 5 miles of Tunbridge Wells) or online via video call — wherever suits you best. The slightly shorter session allows time for a proper handover conversation at the start and end, so parents are always kept in the loop. Before the first session we'll have a free 20-minute consultation to understand your child's needs and match them with the right tutor.
What subjects do you cover?
We cover all subjects across Early Years, GCSE and A-Level. Whether it's Maths, English, Sciences, Humanities or anything else — we'll find the right tutor for your child.
Are your tutors DBS checked?
Yes — every tutor on our books holds an Enhanced DBS certificate. This is a non-negotiable requirement before any tutor works with a student. We take safeguarding seriously.
How quickly can we get started?
Usually within a week. Once you get in touch we'll arrange a free consultation, match your child with a tutor, and schedule your first session. For urgent exam prep we'll do our best to fast-track this.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask for 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged at the full session rate. We understand things come up — just let us know as soon as possible.
Do you offer online tuition?
Yes — all our tutors offer online sessions via video call, so you can access Wells Tuition from anywhere in the UK. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person and offer more scheduling flexibility.
Which exam boards do you cover?
Our tutors are experienced across all major exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and WJEC. When you enquire, just let us know which board your child's school uses and we'll match accordingly.
